The Tonto National Monument, which is situated within rugged terrain in the northeastern part of the Sonoran Desert, these well preserved cliff dwellings were occupied during the 13th to the 15th centuries. This is near Lake Roosevelt, so if you are near this area on a motorcycle ride, it is worth the visit.

A motorcycle ride to the top of the mountain at Mt. Graham, elevated at 10,713', is home to the Mount Graham International Observatory, an astronomical observatory operated by the University of Arizona. An over night stay in Safford located at the foot of Mount Graham is a great weekend getaway.
